Honoring history through story. 📚 Today, Mr. O’s 5th graders spent time reflecting on Patriot Day as he read This Very Tree—a touching story of healing and hope following the events of September 11th. We are grateful for our teachers who guide these important, meaningful discussions in the classroom. 🇺🇸 #LomondView #PatriotDay #HistoryInTheClassroom #ElementaryEducation

Art class creativity in full swing! 🎨 Our students are working hard on monochromatic self-portraits this week. Each student is using a single color shade to draw themselves, and soon we’ll be combining all of their individual pieces into one giant, multi-colored collaborative mural! We can’t wait to see the finished masterpiece on display. 🖼️✨ #LomondView #LomondViewArt #ElementaryArt #CollaborativeArt #MonochromaticArt

We had some special visitors at Lomond View. The Ogden Raptors dropped by to visit our 4-6 grade students, joined by Superintendent Butters and WSD Foundation Director Emily Oyler. The Raptors shared a message about their favorite elementary school memories and favorite books read. They also reminded us that failure is part of the game, what matters most is getting back up and trying again!

Our dedicated Lomond View teachers have been meeting every single day after school to brainstorm new ways to support our students. Today's lesson? Learning to roll with the unexpected! After our principal shared a sweet story about pivoting to bubbles instead of flower petals for her son's wedding, staff took a much-needed breath, blew some bubbles, and embraced the power of flexibility. We’re ready to handle whatever comes our way this school year! 🫧✨ #LomondViewElementary #TeacherLife #PivotingWithGrace #LoveOurTeachers
