Student interaction is always an integral part of school. At times there are students who do not understand or have not been taught how to appropriately deal with other students or their own emotions. Although school is a great place to learn, we never want to have a student be harmed, or feel threatened due to another student’s inability to interact correctly. We do take bullying seriously at Lomond View, and we will do everything we can to end inappropriate behaviors. Communication with the school is imperative in solving the problem. When we know there is a problem, we can take appropriate action including the following:

  1. Make it easy to receive a complaint. Use the Incident Report on this page to submit information.
  2. Identify the bully, witnesses, and victims.
  3. Keep track of problems with an on-going tracking system. We use discipline tracker.
  4. Investigate the concern and talk with those involved in a private way whenever possible.
  5. Make a decision as to the best way to help end the bullying behavior.
  6. Start interventions as quickly as possible, and continue to monitor bully and victim to prevent future incidents.
